Prana & the vital energy body 
FOUR WEEKLY SESSIONS, Mondays, 6.15 - 7.30pm BST

A exploration of prana, vital energy and the Pranamaya Kosha, our energy body and chakras.  When we have an understanding of the link between the physical, mind and energy body, we can maintain and optimise vitality and wellbeing.  Working with nature's gift of prana (energy) can help in improved physical health, a calmer balanced way of life, stress reduction and increased energy levels.   The course is over 4 sessions and includes mostly theory and pranayama, along with a little meditation and mantra.   

What you will learn
  • an introduction to the three bodies
  • the energy body (pranamaya kosha) and it's functions
  • how we lose energy, how to have more vitality and peace of mind
  • types and sources of energy (prana)
  • the relationship between mind, body, emotions and energy
  • why pranayama (breathing exercises)
  • pranayama breathing practices
  • relationship between the mind, prana & pranayama
  • an introduction to the chakras & kundalini energy
  • an introduction to mantra
  • the importance of purification of energy for spiritual transformation 
    and... so much more! 

Course structure
  • Each session will include theory (between 30 & 40 minutes, depending on the lesson)
  • Guided practice of pranayama breathing exercises, visualisations and mantra
  • References to ancient texts such as Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
  • Inspiration from saints and sages of India
  • Group time for interaction and questions  
  • Suggestions for home practice 
  • The course is livestreamed via zoom.  If the timings don't work for you, we will send you a replay of the livestream each week so you can still be part of the course.  The recordings are available for 7 days after each session and will be sent to each registered participant.
