Spring Equinox Yoga Retreat
Compton Dundon nr. Glastonbury Teacher: Lila Conway from only: £240 Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd March, 2020 Earth Spirit (Little Earth) Compton Dundon, nr. Glastonbury, Somerset 2 nights / 3 days Spring into Spring! We celebrate Spring Equinox with nourishing Yoga & Meditation practices to inspire and refocus our energies for the new season ahead. Friday 20th March is officially the start of Spring. "I think Lila is just the best! Her ability to manage a range of experience and ability is exceptional. Although I have done yoga for lots of years I found it of value to focus on the details of several core postures. Her combination of asanas, pranayama and Kirtan is fantastic. (Several people new to Kirtan was blown away by the experience) Also, while being totally authentic and rooted in the substance of yoga..." - Dorset, Sept '19 |
Earth Spirit / Little Earth Retreat Centre
Just five miles from Glastonbury, on the edge of peaceful Compton Dundon village, EarthSpirit lies within the ‘temenos’ (sacred enclosure) of Avalon. The centre has twice won the Kindred Spirit ‘best centre’ award and recently the top 'Gold' award from Green Tourism for the many innovations and sustainability features at the centre. Situated between two hills, one a site of special scientific interest (SSSI), the other a nature reserve. The centre is just two minutes walk from St Andrew’s church, which has within its cemetery a yew tree that’s more than 1,800 years old. Our retreat is in beautiful Little Earth, a purpose-designed retreat centre which is part of the EarthSpirit complex. The lovely light yoga space has a wooden floor with underfloor heating and a view of the garden.

Our Retreat
A Spring Equinox Yoga Retreat is a perfect time to plant and water seeds of wellbeing for body, mind and soul. The coming of Spring after the winter months brings the return of the light and renewed sense of energy. We will have a weekend of energising Hatha Yoga and a restorative/Yin afternoon yoga practice. There will be Meditation, Chanting/Kirtan, nature walks, a fire (weather permitting) and time for reflection or curling up with a book. There will be delicious vegetarian home made meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Teas are available throughout the day. Things to do
Apart from our retreat programme there is a little space on Saturday for you to enjoy as you feel... maybe have a massage (extra cost), walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside or simply curl up with a book. If you would like to explore Glastonbury its only 5 miles away. There is a great deal of mythology surrounding magical and mystical Glastonbury. It is an alternative town with lots of new age shops to explore and local historical sites such as the Abbey. Glastonbury has been a pilgrimage town for many years and people come from afar to walk up the legendary Tor. You can visit Chalice Well Gardens and the White Springs amongst many other things.
