The Course
The yoga of sacred mantra is an expression of love, it is spiritual food for the heart and soul. Mantra meditation purifies the heart, steadies the mind and naturally elevates, bringing joy, vitality, peace of mind, happiness and connection. Understanding how and why we practice will help you to deepen your practice, open the mind to greater possibilities and cultivate a compassionate and loving heart. The course is a heartfelt blend of mantra theory, chanting, singing and meditation. We will discuss and practice sanskrit mantras as meditation. We will sing mantras (kirtan) and also practice Japa meditation, the repetition of mantra outloud and silently. We will explore the following and more:-
The course will be held online, information will be sent to you at the time of booking. If you can't make the timings or would like to replay the session again, replay recordings will be available for 7 days. There will be both theory and practice in each session, with time for group interaction/questions. Each of the five weekly classes will include simple kirtan (devotional singing), mantra and meditation theory, silent mantra meditation, stories, references to yoga texts e.g. Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and more. The course is open for everyone, no experience is necessary. You do not need to be able to sing or have practiced meditation before. |
