"Philosophy without practice is meaningless, but practice without philosophy is equally futile"
- Swami Niranjananda "I have really enjoyed the philosophy course, you teach from your heart which gives clarity to the subject. This course has inspired me to make some changes in my daily life even if the steps are quite small, to think more positively and to make time for my daily meditation practice" - Yogic Studies Course - October '15 |
The focus of the course is to develop a deeper awareness and understanding of the ancient teachings of yoga and how the various threads of yoga can be weaved into daily life. We explore concepts within yogic philosophy which includes Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and more.
Open to practitioners who want to develop greater self-discipline and self-knowledge through yoga theory and the development of a strong personal yoga practice (sadhana). Each week during the course a home practice is given for exploration and to bring the theory into practice in daily life. Lila is available for individual guidance during the course. "I just wanted to say a big thank you for the yogic studies course. I found it totally fascinating and very helpful. I will definitely use some of the techniques you have taught us to enhance my spiritual journey. I don't think I would have found the courage to leave my job if it hadn't of been for the course. It has made me see my life and purpose in a very different light. So THANK YOU! " - Yogic Studies Course - October '15 |
