- Better connect with yourself through an understanding of Ayurveda, the 5 ‘great elements’, and the mind body types, or doshas– Ayurveda is focussed on accepting ourselves as we are, playing to our strengths and nurturing our weaknesses
- Explore the idea of ‘food as medicine’ through understanding the 6 tastes of Ayurveda, how to keep our digestive fire strong and explore using some of the herbs in your kitchen spice rack therapeutically. You’ll be asked to collect some common food items in advance so we can explore the six tastes experientially.
- Connect with daily rhythms and tailor your lifestyle, exercise and yoga practice to your dosha.
- Carry out a safe and simple cleanse using mung bean soup, kitchari and the Triphala, the most famous Ayurvedic herbal formulation
- Live the most fulfilled life you can! Ayurveda is not about living the perfect life, but living the best life for you.

About Jo Webber is an Ayurvedic practitioner and Yoga teacher, and member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Ayurveda, which included clinical internships in India. She set up the AyurvedicYogi (www.ayurvedicyogi.com) clinic in Bristol, as well as wellbeing retreats and hands-on Ayurveda cooking, beauty and body care workshops. She is passionate about bringing Ayurveda and the latest clinical research together, empowering people to take charge of their health. She also has a Post graduate Certificate in Education, has taught in several schools, and has a Masters in Human Sciences from Oxford University.
