Yoga Teacher Training - Terms and Conditions

Programme & Participation

• Our Yoga Teacher Training is deeply transformative experience and requires a commitment not only from the teachers but from students too.  We embark on the journey together and we are here to support the process.  We know from many years of practice that to become a yoga teacher we must practice and realise the teachings... not just recite them.  This can only come from dedicated effort and a sincere desire to learn, evolve and create.  
• The spirit behind the discipline and rules are purely to enable you to obtain maxiumum benefit from the journey and your spiritual practice.
• The 3 day modules will be full and inspiring.  The weeks in between modules are for you to continue your digestion of what was learnt on the module and to put the teachings into practice with a simple home practice.  This may only be 30 minutes per day a few days a week, along with a few written summaries to submit to us (this helps us to see that you have understood the teachings and clarifies to yourself also).
• Yoga Prema hold all rights to change/adjust the TTC schedule, venue or teaching team slightly if deemed necessary.  This will not greatly affect the overall teachings or course content.
• Punctuality and attendance at the full program is mandatory.  In unavoidable circumstances if a student misses any classes or part of the course module due to unforseeable circumstances, if necessary we will consider the possibility of catching up with a one to one session with a Yoga Prema teacher.  This will incurr additional costs.
• Alcohol, smoking  and unprescribed drugs are not allowed during the course.  If you are unable to follow a vegetarian diet at this time, the basic minimum requirement is that during the modules and ashram intensive meat, fish, eggs, onion and garlic are not permitted as they are not recommended within the yogic diet.

Assessment

• To be a yoga teacher we need to strive to live following the Yamas and Niyamas - yogic principles... this is the basic requirement.  Assessment is not only when the student is teaching or submitting homework but in their overall general attitude throughout the course.
• Students will teach a minimum of two full classes as part of their assessment and there will be ongoing assessment and a written exam at the end of the course.
• In order to graduate and receive a Yoga Prema 200hr Teaching Certificate, students must have attended the full programme, completed all assignments, demonstrated confidence and understanding in teaching yoga classes and have passed the minimum pass rate of 75% in the written assessment/exam.  Overall attitude is also taken into consideration.  
• We strive to support each individual in their blossoming and learning on the path of yoga.  In very rare cases a student may not meet the required standards.  If this is the case we may need to discuss private tutoring (within reason) to go over the course material that has not been understood properly.  Where necessary, an additional fee may be charged for extra teaching hours needed outside of the course schedule.   If a student still does not meet the required standard we would discuss the possibility of repeating the course at a later date.  

Payments

• A non refundable deposit of £400 is payable once your application has been approved.
• All teacher training course fees are to be paid before the start of the course. (unless agreed terms apply)
• Upon cancellation of the course, no refunds, transfers or credits will be given either before, during or after the course starts
• In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a booking or part of a course booking due to an event outside of our control we will promptly contact you if this happens.  
• In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the course we will refund the amount paid in full.

As a student of our training course, we pass your email address and phone number to our partners, Yoga Alliance Professionals for the purposes of receiving an invitation to register as a Trainee and Teacher.  You have the option of opting out of this registration process when you complete your application form.  Your personal information is confidential and secure with us.
