My Story

For nearly three decades, yoga has been the heartbeat of my life, lived through daily practice, full-time international teaching and deep immersion in India's timeless wisdom traditions.

I share yoga as a living path, rooted in embodied practice, nourished by the wisdom of yoga and brought alive in everyday life, so practice becomes a source of clarity, vitality, purpose and heartfelt connection.

A QUIET CALLING

From a young age, I carried a quiet sense of inquiry into life's deeper meaning, a curiosity that eventually drew me toward yoga and the wisdom traditions of India.

Nearly three decades ago, feeling an inner pull toward something more meaningful, I stepped away from a fast-paced life in London and travelled to India in search of deeper understanding. When I arrived, something in me recognised the language of yoga immediately. The anchor dropped. Yoga was no longer something I fitted around life. It became what I lived and breathed every day.

A LIFE OF PRACTICE AND TEACHING

I spent many years living and teaching within traditional ashram settings in India and Canada, immersed in daily practice while guiding international students through classical Hatha yoga teacher trainings.

These years of intensive practice, study and teaching shaped the way I now share yoga, not simply as a physical discipline, but as a living path woven into everyday life.

Returning to the UK, I established Yoga Prema in Bristol, building a vibrant community through weekly yoga classes, retreats, workshops and international teacher trainings. I have guided thousands of students and trained many yoga teachers internationally, drawing from the Sivananda tradition, Iyengar study, advanced pranayama, Yin yoga, mantra and Sanskrit.

I continue to return to India each year for my own practice and nourishment…

…deepening my relationship with yoga and immersing myself in its living traditions of devotion and mantra. I will always see myself as a student of yoga, continually learning and evolving, with deep gratitude to my teachers, so I can share from a place of greater depth.

Today, I’m based in Glastonbury, Somerset, where I’m happiest with my yoga mat, harmonium, a good coffee and my hands getting dirty in the garden.

“Around her there is an air of peace and joy that makes you feel great, not only about her, but about life as a whole, and most importantly, about yourself as part of that whole."”
